The Morbid Poll

Since my last post has me musing the topic of dying...

If you got to pick how you would go, which would it be?

A) Long illness (>6 months)
B) Quick illness (<6 months)
C) Instant medical event (heart attack, aneurysm, etc..) with no warning
D) Car/plane crash
E) Murdered
F) Drown
G) Hung
H) Sat on by Kristie Alley
I) Listen to Tom Cruise about Scientology

Ok... skip H and I.

I'd choose hypothermia. You just kinda go to sleep. Going to sleep in the snow under an evergreen tree used to be one of my favorite things as a kid. You wake up so refreshed. Back then I didn't realize why I was sleeping so deeply.

Well C would be the easiest. But a short illness would give you time to get things in order and say goodbye without dragging it out too long.

Also, I think it's easier for other people to come to terms with the death of a loved one over a period of time, rather than a sudden death with no warning. That period of time allows the grieving process to begin early.

Long illness.
That way I could still hope for a cure, get all my stuff in order, and if the point came where I didn't want to suffer any more, I can always end it anytime I choose.
