I Give Movie Critics 1 Star

I have always disliked "professional" movie critics' analysis of movies. They just try too hard to be critical or pithy. Regular people will at least give you an honest enjoyable/not-enjoyable evaluation of the film without all the BS. Critics are annoying how they get all hoity-toity and somehow think they're little opinions are somehow special.

But now that I know that they are FAKE, I will completely disregard them.

That old fart, Roper, that this to say about my favorite movie ever...

"There is a kind of studied stupidity that sometimes passes as humor, and Jared Hess' "Napoleon Dynamite" pushes it as far as it can go."

Yeah well, you're old and fake, so I don't have to listen to you....

...or in Chris' words... "I don't have to listen to you! You're a dog!! You don't even have a soul!!"

Just read the article. What the crap? Are they that desperate to find a good review that they'll make up a dude? Not to mention a dude from some podunk backwater newspaper with two readers including the author's mom?

Oh and Steve the Pirate Rocks! "Look at my package!"

The lawsuit, originally filed by two California moviegoers, claimed the ads fooled the plaintiffs into seeing "A Knight's Tale." In one ad for the action-comedy, a critic identified as "David Manning of The Ridgefield Press" was quoted calling star Heath Ledger "this year's hottest new star!"

While I think they should be punished for making up a fake movie critic, I find it hard to reward people who claim they went to the movie because that comment.

If you base your movie-going choices on that, then you are an idiot.

And I quite liked A Knight's Tale--loved how they worked in the classic rock songs. Good stuff.
